What our team does

The Home Upgrade Desk editorial team researches home warranty providers from primary sources: their sample contracts, plan terms, and official plan pages, plus state regulators’ own websites. We compare contracts on the terms that decide what gets paid, and we date every fact we publish.

How we work

  • Primary sources only. Provider facts come from the provider’s own documents. Regulatory facts come from the state agency’s own site.
  • Facts and opinions kept apart. Contract terms are presented as published; our assessments are labeled as editorial opinion.
  • Every page is reviewed and dated. Each page shows when it was last reviewed, and our change log records what changed.
  • Independent of compensation. Affiliate relationships never change our criteria or assessments. See our affiliate disclosure.

Corrections and contact

If you spot an error, email corrections@homeupgradedesk.com with the page link and a source. For anything else, see our contact page.

This page is general education, not legal, financial, or insurance advice. Home warranty terms vary by provider, plan, and state; the contract you sign controls what is covered. Spotted an error? Request a correction.
